This is an acoustic 3D model with the material made from
spruce wood and the fret board made from mahogany wood. This artist used Auto
CAD 2014 for 3D modelling and Key shot 5 for rendering. They used a technique
to first edit the UV and texturize the entire model. The textures look really
good and realistic and it has black line going around the edge of the guitar. The
front body is a texture of a spruce wood; the side and back are the same
texture with variant colours of brown. The light in the first image comes from
an angle to show the texture of the front of the guitar. The colour is as a
tone of the entire guitar. The headstock looks very simple and easy to model
but It suits the rest of the guitar and he used a flat colour brown to apply
instead of a texture.
The artist wants us to focus on the texture and the amount
of detail he put in producing such as a fine artwork which looks ready to be
placed in a game. I like the textures he
used and the bridge is unique as that catches my eye from the whole model. This
is a guitar model which relates to me guitar in which I can relate to and pick
out ideas from and is an inspiration to look at.
This is a character concept for an MMORPG produced by the
artist Helen. This artist used only Photoshop to create this artwork using the Wacom
tablet.
This artist used a lot of line drawing from curved line to
horizontal lines to vertical lines. The way
she draws lines are thin lines that express delicacy in her work. Most of her work
consists of light to greyscale colours. She uses the tone to create contracts
of light and dark as well as creating dramatic scene. The lighting is coming
from directly forward. She uses strokes of brushes to create under lay shadows
and light. Her art style shows that they belong in a game and suit the genre
what they’re created for. The colour used to create mood, tone and light.
The artist wants us to focus on the imagery of each character
to see what their characteristics are because it is a concept for an MMORPG. 2
things I like about her artwork are use of colours and art style because it’s appealing
and eye pleasing.
I’m planning to do an art concept which links in with my
model and story which I want to create to convey the concept; that is only if I
have some time left at the end.
These concepts are a 2D concept. There wearing gear
equipment for combat/defence. Tod created these character concepts in Photoshop
using a wide spec of brushes to blend and colour his work. The tone is to
create the shadows which the light can’t hit in the concept. He used as much
space to depict his work. The artist use tone to create light and dark contrast. The shapes used for these artwork are squares and rectangles to potray stenght and stability and circles to represent continuous movement
.
I like the use of colours and tone as it makes the artwork look effective. In the artwork above the artist wants us to focus on the overall image of each character of what sort of perosn they are. This relates to my project as Im going to do a concept if I have spare time.
