UV Editing

This is the entire UVs of my guitar model which I have cleverly placed in Maya's UV editor in order to texturize accurately and efficiently. All the UVs had to be placed in the single grid box in the UV editor to avoid over laspe in textures.
Whilst this process, I can proudly say I have learnt many tools to help and tackle certain problems that will help me near the future. This experience will help me become a professional in the gaming industry and I know that there are many jobs involving this alone. I feel more happy than my previous projects because I have developed my understanding of the software as a whole. (Photoshop & Maya)

Experimenting on existing model

Modelling on one and experimenting on the other
I kept going back to my previous model to experiment first in case if I made a mistake or error I can easily undo to a certain point. Once I am satisfied with end result I then duplicate it and put it with the original model. I find this less risky and more convienient method as you can see what you can do on an object and apply it to another if the desire meets the expectations.

Basic Mesh (Body & Neck)

I modelled the body seprately from the neck as I found this easier and less complicated to do when doing UV editing.

These are my basic meshes to start of with. Creating the shape and basic components of the guitar which consists of the main body and neck.

Photoshop Concepts (Sketches)

This is what I produced during the 2 weeks I had off, these sketches were only just to give a brief idea of the concept from the story to suit the idea of who the guitar belongs to. I am still thinking of developing this into a final idea concept, I have decided to leave this for the time being, so that I am able to focus in finishing my model firtsly then if I end up having spare time near the end then I will be using it to produce my final photoshop concept. I will develop the idea further by looking at positioning and choices of colours Id use. This would help me engage in with my previous projects I have done. Throughout this project, this will help me enchnace my photoshop skills in using basic tools as well as adding onto my portfolio work.
